The aim of this project is to have a very simple way to install new songs on UltraStar. For this, you have to put the executable in your UltraStar folder and follow little steps.
The software isn't linked at first launch to songs. You have to tell the software some UltraStore Links where songs can be found. For the moment only songs from this site are available but anyone can create a UltraStore link (contact me for that).
Install the software
This software is in BETA stage. Before using it, make a full backup copy of your UltraStar folder. I'm not not responsible of problems you can encouter if you don't do that (but I hope my software can't make big disaster...)
When you start the software, you see :
To add a UltraStore Link (contain informations to know a song provider), click on the "Add UltraStore Link" button.
Here the you past the link, for example : http://usdx.free.fr/ultrastore/usdxfreefr.xml Clicking on a link starting by ultrastore:// would have the same result
Click "Add" when you've pasted the link. The link is read, you can see in Status text if everything worked fine. Click "close".
Now you have an item in the provider's list. Click on it.
The software download the list of files available on the site. This may take a while the first time as it download all covers, but the next time it will be faster. The software may not answer during the process, but don't panic, just wait.
When it's finished you got the list of available songs. The songs you've already downloaded are in gray. For each song you have the cover, title and artist. You can see if there is a video joined to the file.
As list can be long, you can use the search box to find what you want.
Click on a song to show the Download panel :
Click "Start download" to start installation.
If the song is hosted to mediafire.com or megauplad.com, you'll see the link grabber : (This will not appear if a direct link is used)
If a code is asked, enter it, then follow instructions to get the free download link. When you click on it the software catch the link.
Now the file is being downloaded, after it will be extracted to your Songs dir. You can now start UltraStar and sing :)
The file is extracted in Songs\<provider code>\<artist> - <title>, so in this example it's Songs\usdxfreefr\Lenny Kravitz - I'll be waiting
